A modernist-style architect-designed house in need of renovation in Fontenay-aux-Roses.
Set in a 544 m² plot in a suburban neighbourhood near Sceaux station, this 270 m² architect-designed house was designed by André Wogenscky, a former student and then assistant to Le Corbusier from 1936 to 1956. Located in a suburban neighbourhood, this modernist-style building is in need of restoration. It is made up of a vast living room, a dining room, kitchen, five bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms.
The houseIt is accessible from the street via two entrances: the pedestrian gate or the car garage. It also shares its entrance with two new buildings at the back of the plot, designed in modernist spirit too.
The ground floor
Once past the entrance, the first room in the centre, known as the "games room", leads to all the other rooms: four bedrooms, all with en suite shower rooms or bathrooms, as well as the cellar, linen room and boiler room. This is also where the wide staircase leading to the first floor begins.
The first floor
The main living space in the house. Designed to dominate the surrounding spaces, the areas are lit by large picture windows from which light pours in in abundance, highlighting the marble-covered floor throughout. In the centre, the bright, spacious living room and dining room have been laid out in a row. The dining room adjoins the kitchen for added practicality. On one side, there are the office and the conservatory. On the opposite side, the living room and master bedroom, with its en-suite bathroom lead out onto the terrace, which is topped by a pergola and flooded with natural light.
