Falkensee is located in the east of the Havelland district and merges seamlessly with Berlin-Spandau. With around 44,000 inhabitants, it is a young town in every respect and is becoming an increasingly popular place to live for families with children looking for a well-kept and quiet residential area near Berlin. The excellent existing infrastructure offers all amenities for daily needs. A variety of shopping facilities nearby, bus and train connections, doctors, post office and banks are all within a few minutes' walk.
There is also a wide range of cultural and leisure activities on offer. Whether it's a bike tour, a visit to the outdoor pool, cinema or museums - Falkensee welcomes its residents as a neighbor of the capital. The library and numerous daycare centers, primary and secondary schools, such as the Erich-Kästner elementary school or the Lise-Meitner and Marie-Curie grammar schools are available for your children to choose from. Sporting activities are also available. The Gelb-Weiß Falkensee tennis club is very close by, as are the many green spaces and extensive woodland and countryside areas. The many bodies of water, such as Falkenhagener See or Neuer See, also offer many other leisure activities.
Falkensee train station is the hub of various trains that travel quickly and easily to the capital. The zoo can be reached in just 15 minutes on the RE2. Berlin Central Station is also just 20 minutes away on the RE2 or RB10. The capital can also be reached by car in just a few minutes via Heerstraße or the A100 highway. For example, Berlin Charlottenburg, the Ku'damm or BER airport can be reached in around 25 minutes or 50 minutes. The location is therefore particularly attractive for commuters and students, for example.
Idyllic, family life in the countryside, combined with the urban flair of two major cities. Where else can you combine these advantages so well? This is precisely why Falkensee has positioned itself ideally as a location and benefits greatly from regional developments.
