This remarkable city, where the philosopher René Descartes spent much of his life, is also now home to many cutting-edge firms in aerospace and the motor industry. Markets take place in the city's covered market hall on Thursdays and Saturdays. Châtellerault's high-speed train station is only 20 minutes away from the property. From there, you can get to Paris by rail in 1 hour and 15 minutes, 1 hour and 30 minutes or 1 hour and 40 minutes.
