Lage

Dortmund's Hacheney district borders the city districts Hörde and Wellinghofen. Hörde was once an independent locality, becoming part of Dortmund in 1928. The district is characterised by dense residential development, with its old town featuring a compact pedestrian zone. The blast furnace's gasometer, along with the historically notable 'Hoesch' lettering, meanwhile enjoys protected status.
